Mechanical & Electrical Restorations
We have helped in the restoration of many vehicles over the years, many of which required attention to those smaller mechanical items such as brakes, brake systems, fuel systems and fuel tank replacements, hydraulic lines etc. From an electrical point of view, restorations have included dashboard instrument reconditioning/replacement, rewiring, new looms, lighting etc.
We are not motor trimmers but its’ amazing just how many items are required in the restoration of a vehicle’s interior other than trim and seating. We can certainly arrange for re-upholstery if required whilst we carry out upgrading all the other interior items.
We have two of the best engine rebuilders in the business and have carried out numerous rebuilds of engines from EH Holden 179 six cylinders to a vintage Alvis six cylinder or the power plant of a Volvo P1800.
Gearbox & Diff. Restorations
Perhaps one of the more difficult items to repair in a rare vehicle, we have the expertise and the contacts to solve any problems that may arise from these two major components
Rolling Chassis Restorations
When the body comes off a classic or vintage vehicle it’s just amazing to see how many components are part of a rolling chassis. We can restore, recondition or renew almost every item on a rolling chassis ready for the restored body to be mounted back on again.
Access to Qualified Panel/SPray shops and Trimmers
We don’t have the equipment or staff to carry out panel, paint or trim restorations but we do have the contacts and we can recommend the right quality workshop forthe job and arrange it to be carried out for you if you are too busy to do so.
The vehicles we have carried out major restorations include 1964 Volvo P1800, 1964 EH Holden Premier station wagon, XP Falcon, 1923 Vauxhall 23/60, 1931 Alvis, 1932 Alvis Speed 10, 1939 Alvis Speed25, 1969 E-Type Jaguar – and the list goes on.
